    It’s a so called Banana Guard, a protective case for bananas. Wittingly called “Bananskal” in Swedish, where skal can mean either peel, or more generically any kind of shield or coating.

    Ah yes, I’ve heard a lot about those banana guard thingies, but this is the first time I’ve actually seen one “in the wild”. It’s larger than I expected…. ooeerr! :)
